We are working in partnership with Lantra to bring you e-learning courses! These will cover predominantly Rodent Control on Farms following the new legislation changes, however, we also will be able to offer courses for Health and Safety on Farms, Introduction to Agricultural Vehicles and many more! Each course has a number of modules and each module has an assessment part attached to it. The pass mark is 80% and you will have 3 attempts to complete the assessments. Once you have successfully completed all of the modules you will be able to download and/or print off your certificate.

This Responsible and Effective Control of Commensal Rodents e-learning course is approved by the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide Use - CRRU training and working group.

It is the responsibility of anyone involved in carrying out rodent control to be familiar with the relevant legislation concerning the humane and effective management of rat and mouse problems.

Once completed successfully a certificate of training is available for download or print.

Non Technical Skills in Farming - FREE

Duration: (approx) 30-40 minutes

Course Description: 

Over-familiarity can often lead to complacency. This course illustrates how, by undertaking a straightforward, online course, your risk can be minimised, and more importantly, your farm can become a safer place to work.

This course covers; what are non-technical skills, situation awareness, decision making and task management. The course materials are supplied by the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Copyright reserved.

You will then be taken to the dashboard where the courses you have chosen to enrol on will be listed. Click on the course title and you will be able to start your training/ assessment. Each module will have to be completed in order, followed by the assessment questions. When each module is completed a green tick will appear in the box on the left. Once you have successfully completed all of the modules and assessments, you will be able to download and/or print off your certificate.   • How long will it take me?
    It's up to you and depends on what course you choose
  • How long do I have to do the course?
    The advantage of these online courses means it can work around you! Take as long as you want and need. If you purchase a course and you're unable to get to the page anytime soon, don’t worry it will still be waiting for you to complete when you want to login to complete it.
  • Will I be Lantra certified to buy rodenticides?
    From March 2018, anticoagulant rodenticide sold to non-professionals will reduce in concentration from 50 parts per million (ppm) to 30ppm or less. In addition, the size of packs available for amateur customers will reduce to a maximum size of 300g for block and 150g for wheat, pasta and pellet baits. If you wish to buy rodenticide in greater quantities for professional use in the UK, you are required to evidence that you have received training in using rodenticide and controlling rodents. This rodent e-learning course will meet these requirements, allowing you to purchase otherwise restricted volumes.
  • What if I want to do more than one course?
    No problem, Just email us, phone, or fill out another request form with what the next course you want to do.
  • How do I pay?
    Credit account holders can have this charged directly to your account and added to the monthly invoices – simply select YES to holding an account with us and let us know who the account holder is. All other customers will still be able to purchase the course, however, we will require payment prior to giving you access to the portal. Payment can be made over the phone and we can email you the invoice.
