On Friday 10th October, the NHS Nurse on Tour bus will be visiting our Longborough store from 9am to 4pm, offering free health checks for anyone aged 16 or over.
This visit coincides with World Mental Health Day, highlighting the importance of looking after both physical and mental well-being in the farming community. According to the Farm Safety Foundation, 91% of farmers believe poor mental health is the biggest hidden problem in the industry.
The NHS Nurse on Tour team will be providing free health checks, including:
- Blood pressure and pulse checks
- Diabetes screening (if needed)
- Height, weight and lifestyle advice
- Discuss any medical concerns
- Mental health support
No appointment is needed. You can simply drop in at our Longborough store in Moreton-in-Marsh (GL56 0QJ).

Farmers often find it difficult to access health services, with time being the main barrier. By hosting the NHS bus, we aim to make it easier for local people to get simple checks and advice without having to travel far.
A quick check could make a real difference. Everyone is welcome to stop by for a free health check and a coffee while you are here.
