The world of fencing and timber solutions is constantly evolving, and staying at the forefront of best practices and innovations is something our team pride themselves on. To develop our team’s understanding of the industry, Bruce & Riley recently took the opportunity to attend the Association of Fencing Industries’ (AFI) Best Practice Day.

Hosted in partnership with Tornado, the event took place at the prestigious Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester and was attended by industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts. Bruce and Riley share their three highlights from the event:

1. Hearing From The Experts

During the one-day event, Riley learnt more about the intricacies of fencing projects and some of the methods used to complete rural projects.

Riley particularly enjoyed gaining insights into best practices for tying off wire, a critical skill in ensuring the durability of fencing installations.

He shared "Being able to get up close to the latest timber options and fencing techniques gave me firsthand experience for when advising our clients with options that meet their individual needs."

3. Copper-based Treated Timber

For Bruce, a standout moment of the AFI Best Practice Day was the seeing Scanpole's brand-new, copper-based treated timber. Our team had the privilege of learning about the innovative copper treatment that is used on the timber, which is set to reshape the timber industry.

What's more, our team were also pleased to talk to attendees about Nörwood+ now being available at StowAg and the benefits of using the alternative timber option. Our team are excited to be at the forefront of offering this new generation of timber to our customers and proud to showcase our commitment to delivering the latest advancements in the timber and fencing field.

3. Meeting the Contractor Community

The event was also an opportunity for Bruce & Riley to connect with the vibrant contractor community and some of our valued customers. Among the attendees were Guy Ridley, Toby Mynard, James Corbett and Vincent Fencing who we work closely with to provide fencing and timber solutions.

Engaging with our customers in person allowed our team to hear their first-hand experiences and to discover more about the projects their teams are involved with.

Bruce mentioned “It's events like these that remind us of the importance of innovation and our commitment to excellence in serving our contractor community."

Our team's participation in events like this reaffirms our dedication to staying at the forefront of the industry. We look forward to sharing the insights gained from the AFI Best Practice Day 2023 with you and to continue delivering top-quality services to the contractor community.
