Friday 16th February 2018 – StowAg’s very first On-Farm Event dedicated to sheep farmers to discover how to maximise stocks health and fertility and a great way to kick off the lambing season. The day was a great success, with beautiful blue skies all day which helped to attract the farming community with an overwhelming turn-out to the event, reports of people travelling over 40 miles. The Branson Family graciously hosted the event at their farm in Towcester, welcoming well over 50 farmers on the day from near and far. The whole day was a great experience and enjoyed by all; from visitors who had not shopped with StowAg before, visitors who wanted to learn about maximising their flock’s profits and health, to regulars who simply came to say hello to the team and enjoy the delicious hog roast. Enlightening talks from Animax who discussed; the benefit of the technology of a better product that does what it says on the tin for trace element supplementation, followed by live bolus administration demonstrations, proved thought-provoking and educational. Barrettine Environmental Solutions covered the hot topic in rural communities, the change in bait legislations, providing insight and an in-depth understanding of ‘best practice’. In addition to this, MSD Animal health explored gold standard vaccination and storage protocol which prompted some brilliant questions on this popular topic (the free goodies handed out helped).
